In trying to undesrand the underlying concern within your heart I would say it is the question about the 'origin of God' rather than the origin of species or matter. In your limited understanding you are trying to comprehend something or 'someone'that does not exist intirely or totally in its origin rather than its existance.
The problem is you cannot grasp His existance, how will your limited mental capacity ( which we all have) ever grasp His origin. The quest is not the past of God rather than the 'now' of. If the apparent assumption is that we are a close system, how can we then ever try to think beyond this system.
But this will not settle the issue, ha and it is actually nice to say it. You will not be convinced, and that is fine.
