I love the implication that Jesus will kill your enemies by selling your soul..oops, I meant by accepting his "gift" of eternal life.
A couple things about Chick Tracts:
1.) Jack Chick himself doesn't draw them anymore- he has an associate do the artwork.
2.) They are very hateful. Most mainstream Christian bookstores will not carry them. But the thing is, it's very hard to demonstrate on the basis of scripture, what's wrong with them. And they remain popular at the grassroots level in evangelical/fundamentalist churches.
Many of the people who follow them are very hateful also.
This tract is teaching people to defer justice to a non-existent being who will never execute it. Brilliantly pro-pedophile literature.
It's not historically accurate either. The tract reproduces the long debunked notion that the massacre in Rwanda was Hobbesesque violence, with neighbor massacring neighbor. However, the reality was a small number of hooligans directed by an even smaller number of true believers that did most of the massacring. Approximately 2% of the Hutu population was seriously involved. The Hutus genociders were “drunken militia bands fortified with assorted drugs from ransacked pharmacies, were bused from massacre to massacre.”
The quote is from Philip Gourevitch, We Wish to Inform You That Tomorrow We Will be Killed with Our Families: Stories From Rwanda, (New York: Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 1998) 242
The math is from John Mueller's Remnants of War. I don't have the page citation in front me.
